Nostrord Awarded OpenSats Grant

We're grateful to announce that Nostrord has been selected for the sixteenth wave of Nostr grants by OpenSats.

OpenSats NIP-29 Nostr

Nostrord started with a simple idea. Group chat on Nostr should feel as good as the centralized apps people are leaving behind, without asking anyone to give up ownership of their communities.

Today that idea got a real push. OpenSats selected Nostrord for their sixteenth wave of Nostr grants. Thank you. This gives the project room to grow from a working beta into something the Nostr community can actually rely on.

What is Nostrord

If you’re just finding us: Nostrord is a Kotlin Multiplatform client for NIP-29 relay-based groups. A Discord-style experience on Nostr, but decentralized and built on a protocol you actually own.

Chat, replies, moderation, relay-enforced membership and permissions all work today. A public beta is live at web.nostrord.com, and we’re building across platforms.

What the grant enables

Room to do things right. That means maturing the Kotlin Multiplatform architecture, filling out the NIP-29 feature set, tightening performance across platforms, and listening to what the community is asking for as we head toward a stable release.

Get involved

Nostrord is 100% open source under the Unlicense. If you want to follow the progress, contribute, or just try the app:

Let’s build.
